The Tanker Helmet is a type of helmet found in DayZ. It is based on the kit that was issued to tankers of the Soviet Union during World War II. Although it is referred to as a helmet, it more resembles a very cushioned hat. The helmet it is based on had integrated headphones and a throat mic that could be heard over the noisy environment that was the inside of a tank, but this is not reflected in the game.
